Monthly trust awards

As part of our trust values and well being programme, we operate a Staff Awards Scheme. The awards recognise individuals and teams who have given an outstanding commitment, and who should be recognised for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Following feedback from our annual staff survey, we introduced the employee and team of the month scheme as a way of recognising and celebrating the achievements of individual members of staff and teams. Our colleague and team of the month awards have seen staff from a wide variety of wards and departments being nominated by their colleagues.

Nomination process

Anyone can submit a form nominating any employee or team employed by East Cheshire NHS Trust.
 
Nomination forms are available through:

• The trust’s intranet
• The website at www.eastcheshire.nhs.uk
• The HR Business Partner team at East Cheshire NHS Trust
• Completed nomination forms should be sent to the HR Business
• Partner Team by the day of each month.

Categories

The awards will be made as follows:  

• Colleague and team of the month - to recognise either an individual contribution or a team contribution within a directorate/division or the overall organisation.
• Loyalty and retirement awards - these awards pay thanks those staff who have made long-term contributions to the trust.
• Annual staff awards - Our annual staff awards seek to recognise those individuals and teams who go the extra mile for patients and colleagues.

Panel

Nominations will be judged by a panel made up of the following:

• Chief executive
• Director of HR Business Partner Team 
• If a member of this panel is nominated they will be excluded from the deliberations (only for their nomination, not all those being considered).

Awards

The prize for each award will be:

• Certificate
• High street vouchers
• Photograph with the chief executive and feature article in Connected, the trust staff magazine.

Communication

The monthly winners will be communicated in East Cheshire NHS Trust's monthly staff newsletter, on the trust website and notice boards throughout the trust. 

Anyone who works at the trust can be nominated for an award, and any member of staff can nominate a colleague who has worked above and beyond their normal duties.

All nominations are considered equally for an award.
