A&E at Macclesfield District General Hospital – January 2015

Like many other hospitals, the Accident and Emergency department at Macclesfield District General is currently very busy.

People are being urged to only come into A&E if absolutely necessary for treatment to major, potentially life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

For less serious health complaints, please consider other options such as local pharmaciesGP surgeries and NHS 111.

The Minor Injuries Unit at Congleton War Memorial Hospital may also be an option for you – please click here for further details.

We would like to reassure you that patients with urgent, life-threatening conditions will continue to be prioritised and receive safe, appropriate care. We would like to thank any patients experiencing unusually long waits for their understanding.
