Health matters is a series of free public lectures, giving members of the public the opportunity to ask prominent consultants questions. Health matters takes place monthly covering a range of popular clinical areas and has been an outstanding success in delivering key messages by senior members of the trust to the community that the hospital serves.
Members of the public and trust staff are warmly invited to a series of free evening lectures, aimed at improving their knowledge on hot health topics.
Entitled Health matters, the lectures are held at Macclesfield District General Hospital, from 7.00 - 8.00pm.
Clinical research is often the starting point for next generation medical breakthroughs and East Cheshire NHS Trust has played a leading role in this area for many years. Teams based at Macclesfield District General Hospital, have been conducting active research in a number of key areas including cancer, dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, medicines for children, cardiology, haematology, rheumatology, and stroke. They are now providing the public with an opportunity to ask questions and find out more.
