Our Services

Midwifery Group Practices

Maternity services at East Cheshire NHS Trust provide continuous support with the expectation of providing continuity of care. The team approach to midwifery care offers the opportunity to book directly with the team that is linked to your GP practice and to continue with that team throughout your pregnancy journey.

The team midwives work across the community, Maternity Unit and the labour ward providing care wherever the woman chooses. As midwives we are the lead professional involved in assessing, planning and supporting women’s choice of care including supporting women’s choice for home birth in low risk pregnancies. The benefits of the service means you become more familiar with the midwives and they provide continuous support for women and their families either via telephone or face to face contact.
