Neurology

We provide a comprehensive neurological service at Macclesfield District General Hospital delivered by a visiting Consultant, Dr Andy King from Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.
 
We manage patients with a wide variety of Neurological problems including:

• Parkinson's disease
• Epilepsy
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Headache
• Neuromuscular disease

We also work closely with the Stroke Unit and the Neurosurgery Unit.

Our facilities

The neurology service is an outpatient service. All referrals and patient appointments are managed directly by Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust with clinics held weekly at Macclesfield and bi-weekly at Congleton War Memorial Hospital.

Our team

We work as a multi disciplinary team to provide holistic patient care for all of our patients. The team consists of consultants, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, pharmacists and administrative staff.
