Obstetrics and Gynaecology services at East Cheshire NHS Trust cover the following specialties:

• Gynaecology
• Maternity services
• Antenatal services
• Neonatal services

There are many health care professionals who work together to deliver high quality services for you, our team comprises of midwives, consultant obstetricians and gynaecologists, as well as many other support personnel and management who support these services.

Gynaecology

The Gynaecology service is a busy clinical department offering a wide range of women’s health services, which are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who aim to delivery a high quality, women centered, local service.   

Our services

The Gynaecology service is based on Ward 2 and the Surgical Day Case Unit. Dedicated treatment rooms can be found on the Endoscopy and Treatment Unit and oupatient services.

Ward 2 supports day case and inpatient surgery.

The Endoscopy Treatment Unit supports:

• Colposcopy
• Hysteroscopy
• Post menopausal bleed clinics
• Outpatients - Outpatient clinics are held at Macclesfield, Congleton and Knutsford hospitals and there is a monthly general Gynaecology clinic held at Leek Moorlands Medical Centre in North Staffordshire.
