At East Cheshire NHS Trust we provide a consultant led oral and maxillofacial service that includes both a full outpatient service and some day case procedures on site here at Macclesfield District General Hospital. We link into other more specialised facilities at University Hospital South Manchester, should you need them.
From the main hospital entrance head towards the Outpatients Department and continue through this area until you reach the Oral and maxillofacial clinic.
On arrival at the Outpatient Department a member of staff will welcome you. They will need your appointment letter or card and any information you have been asked to bring with you.
We operate an appointment system so please aim to arrive no more than 15 minutes before your appointment time.
If you are unable to attend please let us know as soon as possible by phoning the booking centre on 01625 663333, between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
You will be seen by the consultant or a senior member of his team.
You may be at the hospital for approximately two hours. Please remember to make any personal or domestic arrangements ie childcare. Remember to bring sufficient money to cover the cost of parking. There is a shop (WRVS) if you wish to purchase refreshments.
After your appointment you will be given a time and date for any follow up appointment or further treatment that may be necessary.
The Day Case Unit is located on the first floor opposite ward 7 and coronary care.

You will be seen by the consultant or a senior member of his team.
You will be at the hospital for approximately half a day. Please arrange for somebody to come and collect you after the procedure as you will not be able to drive.
After your day case procedure you will be posted a time and date for a follow up appointment if necessary.

From Saturday, 4 September 2010, the emergency dental service provided by Cheshire East Community Health will be located at Weston Clinic, Earlsway, Macclesfield, SK11 8SR.

The emergency dental service is for people who have an emergency dental problem at the weekend or on a bank holiday which can not wait to be treated. For example, if you feel that you have an infection, swelling of the face, bleeding from a tooth socket, a broken tooth or trauma to the mouth, you can contact the service for immediate relief.
