Conflict Resolution Training

Conflict Resolution Training gives all front line staff the knowledge to manage aggression in the workplace. The training covers violence, aggressive behavior, injury, stress and how to deal with abusive behavior and violence from staff, patients or bystanders.
 
All front line staff must attend the initial Conflict Resolution Training Course and thereafter the refresher course which should be attended every three years.  Staff should contact Education and Training Centre to book a place on the next available course.

Health and hygience courses

Mealtime Care Course (MCC)

We offer a short one hour training session providing basic knowledge for the provision of serving patients meals safely and under food safety guidelines. This course covers information on initiatives such as the Red tray, protected mealtimes, hungry to be heard and information on the laws of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) reporting 

Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Food Safety

  • Level 1 - ½ day
  • Level 2 – full day

Both courses provide food safety information and are is a recommended for anyone dealing with food.

How to book

MCC training can be ward based and can be booked directly with Facilities (Soft FM) on 1334. CIEH is held in a classroom environment and can be booked through the Learning and Development Team.
