Patient information leaflets

East Cheshire NHS Trust produces a wide variety of patient information leaflets which are reviewed every three years. View our information leaflets by category:

Each ward, department and community service has an 'information champion' who is responsible for ensuring that all the leaflets are up to date. Staff, please contact Hilary Belshaw on 01625 661254 or email hilary.belshaw@nhs.net for details on how to review and update your leaflets.

Our patient information guide contains useful information about visiting Macclesfield District General Hospital as a patient or visitor. It contains information to help your visit here easier about the following: travel and parking, inpatient and outpatient, day surgery, Endoscopy and Treatment Unit, MRSA Screening, hand washing facilities, spiritual needs, shops and catering, help to stop smoking and bedside TV.

We aim to provide information appropriate to your needs. If you, or someone you care for, require additional help with information or communication, please let the staff involved know. There is a leaflet available from the Department of Health called Questions to ask which can help you to decide if you need more information and how to ask for it.

We are constantly updating our stock of patient information and so if the leaflet you require is not here, you can also use NHS Direct for patient information. Visit the NHS Direct website or phone 0845 4647.

The Department of Health also issue patient information.

These leaflets are to be used to support the information and advice provided by health professionals and are not intended as a self-help guide.
