Learn how to avoid ear trouble at free public lecture
06 May 2016

Local people are being invited to learn how to look after their ears at a free public lecture this month.

The ‘Health Matters’ talk, which takes place at Macclesfield Hospital on Tuesday, May 10th, will be delivered by consultant ear nose and throat (ENT) surgeon Andrew Camilleri.

Mr Camilleri will aim to teach people how to look after their ears and maintain good ear health, covering holiday ear care, air travel ear problems, hearing aids, and common conditions such as ear wax and eczema.

Mr Camilleri, who is clinical director of the ENT Department at Macclesfield Hospital and an honorary senior lecturer at Manchester University, said: “Ear problems are best avoided rather than requiring treatment. This talk will help you to maintain good ear health and prevent disease.”

The talk takes place at 7pm in Macclesfield Hospital’s Lecture Theatre (near the Treetops Restaurant on the first floor) on Tuesday, May 10th 2016.

All are welcome to attend the event but places are limited, so please book in advance and secure free parking if required by contacting the Communications and Engagement Department on freephone 0800 195 4194 or email
