Notice regarding premises trading as ‘Macclesfield Hospital Shop’ on Chestergate, Macclesfield

10th February 2020

We would like to make clear that the retail unit titled ‘Macclesfield Hospital Shop’ at 109B Chestergate, Macclesfield, is not operated/endorsed by or associated with East Cheshire NHS Trust, its official charity ECHO or the League of Friends of the Macclesfield and Congleton Hospitals (‘the League of Friends’).

The shop was previously run by the League of Friends which is a registered charity (charity number 504373) but all association with the shop and its activities came to an end in August 2019.

A request has been made for the current operator of the shop to amend its signage to avoid any inaccurate inference that the shop is in any way operated/endorsed by or associated with the trust, ECHO and/or the League of Friends.

Volunteering

This trust has over 300 volunteers and there is a variety of different roles to become involved in. To find out more view our volunteering page.

Being involved in trust groups

Many of our planning and development groups have strong user involvement. This helps us to really focus on what matters to patients, carers and the public. When opportunities to join any of these groups become available, we will advertise them here.
