Care professionals and nurses kick off for local NHS charity at Macclesfield Football Club

29 May 2026

Wilmslow-based Carefound Home Care is set to bring the community together for its third annual charity football match this July, with all proceeds this year dedicated to supporting East Cheshire NHS Charity.

Kicking off at 1.30pm on Sunday 5th July, the pitch at Macclesfield Football Club will host an exciting showdown as local care professionals go head-to-head with nurses from Macclesfield Hospital in a 60-minute match, all in aid of the local NHS charity.

Beyond the pitch, the event features a lively 60-minute match and a half-time ‘score in the goal’ session for children, with the stadium’s bar and restaurant fully open for spectators.

The day culminates in a high-end raffle with premium prizes, ensuring plenty of entertainment for the community while supporting a great cause. Football Flyer.jpeg

Sarah Vickers, Recruitment & Community Manager at Carefound Home Care, said: “Now in its third year, our charity football match brings people together for fun, laughter, and a great cause, this time supporting East Cheshire NHS Charity.

"With care professionals facing off against Macclesfield Hospital nurses, it’s a day for the whole community to enjoy. After raising over £5,000 for past charities, we’re excited to make an even bigger impact.”

Designed as an inclusive day for the whole community, the match prioritizes fun and local support over professional competition. Entry is just £5 at the gate or by clicking here, with no physical tickets required.

Every pound raised will support East Cheshire NHS Charity in its mission to work hand in hand with our healthcare services, helping staff go above and beyond to ensure patients, families, and colleagues have access to the best possible care.
