Following the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspections that took place during July and August 2025; the final reports for community health services for adults and for children, young people and families have been published on CQC's website.
I was pleased to see that both services achieved a rating of ‘Good,’ with the CQC noting:
“Feedback from patients and carers was positive and they were treated with dignity and respect. Patients and carers felt supported by staff, that treatment was explained clearly, and they felt able to ask questions and raise concerns.”
“People felt involved in plans about their care, and staff identified where additional support was needed external to the team and the service. Partnership working was established in the teams we visited, and care pathways were integrated, with responsive referral and access times for assessment and treatment.”
The feedback is credit to our colleagues who work in these services, delivering care and support to our communities.
The next steps will be to review the reports in more detail and to work together to address the areas that require additional improvement.
We remain fully committed to delivering the highest standards of quality care and with continued dedication from all of us, working closely with our patients, their families and carers.
