East Cheshire NHS Charity named as finalist for North Cheshire Business Awards

6 October 2023

East Cheshire NHS Charity is delighted to reveal it has been named as a finalist at this year’s prestigious North Cheshire Business Awards.

Nominated in the Charity of the Year category, East Cheshire NHS Charity’s mission is to go above and beyond standard government funding to make our local NHS feel that extra special.

As the official charity of East Cheshire NHS Trust, this is incredible recognition for the work carried out to raise funds and transform the everyday for patients, family and staff in the NHS, from supporting with health and wellbeing to providing toys to brighten up young patients’ days, or home comforts for long stay patients.

Lorraine Jackman, Director of Corporate Affairs and Governance, said “We are delighted that we’ve been nominated for Charity of the Year 2023. Special thanks go to our amazing fundraisers who continue to support our charity – we could not do what we do without you!

“There are many ways you can support East Cheshire NHS Charity, just get in touch with us if you would like to get involved and please help spread word that every penny raised truly does make a difference to our patients and staff alike.”

East Cheshire NHS Trust Non-Executive Director, Jackie Waugh, said: “We are delighted to be recognised at this year’s North Cheshire Business Awards.”

“The nomination highlights the vital work going on by the charity who work hand in hand with staff delivering our incredible healthcare services to help them go above and beyond for patients, families and staff.”

Hosted by North Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, the awards are an annual celebration of the success, talent and all that's great about business in the North Cheshire area.

The recipient of the award will become charity partner next year and will benefit from fundraising activity and all the brand awareness generated by the North Cheshire Business Awards.

The ceremony will take place on Friday 24th November at De Vere Cranage Estate, near Holmes Chapel.
