East Cheshire NHS Trust’s Podiatry Team celebrated following exceptional patient feedback

13 February 2026

The Podiatry Team at East Cheshire NHS Trust has been recognised for delivering an outstanding level of care following the results of a recent Patient Satisfaction Survey.

The findings from the survey have highlighted the team’s dedication to clinical excellence and their commitment to providing high-quality care to the local community.

Across 75 patient responses, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with the team achieving 100% satisfaction in several critical areas:

  • 100% of patients felt they were treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • 100% felt their podiatrist listened to them and explained their diagnosis clearly.
  • 100% left the clinic with a clear understanding of their next steps and follow-up plans.
  • 99% of respondents noted the team’s consistency with hand hygiene and patient privacy.

In addition to the high scores, written feedback from patients praised the team for being "friendly, professional, and efficient," ensuring that appointments ran smoothly.

Patients specifically valued the clear explanations and clinical advice they received, noting that they felt well-supported throughout their treatment.

Estelle Crook, Podiatry Team Manager at East Cheshire NHS Trust, said: "I am incredibly proud of these results, which are a testament to the hard work and dedication our team brings to the clinic every single day.

“Achieving 100% in areas like dignity and clear communication isn't just a statistic; it reflects the genuine care we have for our patients.

“We strive to ensure every person leaves our service feeling heard and confident in their care plan, and it is wonderful to see that reflected so clearly in their feedback."

The team consists of 20 members of staff, including Podiatrists, Clinical Specialists, a Podiatry Lab technician and Administrative Staff, and treats adults and children with a wide range of foot and lower limb problems, offering specialist provision such as wound care, nail surgery, biomechanical assessment, and orthotics manufacturing and supply.
