The main ED access road as you arrive on the Macclesfield Hospital site from Victoria Road, will be closed this Saturday 5th July to undergo essential tarmac resurfacing.
The road will be closed whilst these repairs are carried out, with access to the Emergency Department taking place via the alternative route as indicated on the below image (entrance and exit via the same location).
This will mean that:
- No parking is permitted from the bus stop end to the zebra crossing in front of ED.
- The electric vehicle charging stations will be out of service for both days.
- All disabled parking adjacent to the Outpatients entrance will still be available for use.
- The Renal car parking spaces will be out of use due to the area being required for vehicle turning space. Colleagues will be able to park in the staff car park near to A&E for both days.
- The entrance route for emergency services vehicles will be from the West entrance on Victoria Road. The road will be made into a dual access for 4th and 5th July only.
During the works the contractor will have traffic management in place on the entry point from Victoria Road to maintain traffic flow and also signage both on the day and prior to advise on changes to access during this date.
Any queries/issues whilst works are taking place can be directed to switchboard on 01625 421000 who will then contact the Estates on call manager.
We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.
