Macclesfield Hospital North Entrance temporary closure due to essential resurfacing works

14 July 2026

To allow essential resurfacing works to be carried out, the North Entrance access road, turning circle, North Entrance main doors, renal parking bays and disabled parking bays at Macclesfield District General Hospital will be temporarily closed from 7pm on Thursday 16th July until 4pm on Saturday 18th July.

During this period, there will be no vehicle or pedestrian access to the North Entrance via the access road or footpaths. The North Entrance main doors will also remain closed throughout the works.

Patients, visitors and staff are asked to allow extra time for their journey and use the hospital's East Entrance or another designated hospital entrance to access the site.

These essential works are required to improve the road surface and ensure the area remains safe for everyone using our hospital.

We kindly ask everyone to follow the temporary signage on site and any instructions provided by Estates staff or contractors during the works.

We apologise for any inconvenience these essential maintenance works may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding while these improvements are completed.
