New Emergency Department Children's entrance opens at Macclesfield Hospital

Patients 15 and under, and their families, now have access to a dedicated entrance and waiting area when visiting the Emergency Department (ED) at Macclesfield District General Hospital.

The new children's entrance is located just a few steps away from the main ED entrance, under the ambulance bay area. If you're unsure, please present at the main ED entrance as usual, and staff will be able to direct you to the children's entrance.

We hope that this new waiting area will help to improve the experiences of our younger patients and their families when visiting us in ED.
