East Cheshire NHS Charity is delighted to announce that Tesco Congleton has launched a Christmas Toy Appeal to help bring festive cheer to young patients spending time on the children’s ward at Macclesfield District General Hospital this December.
Running until 15 December, the appeal invites customers and members of the local community to donate new, unwrapped toys suitable for children of all ages. A designated donation point is located in-store, making it easy for shoppers to drop off a gift and make a real difference this Christmas.
Wendy Cotterill, Community Champion at Tesco Congleton, said: “At Tesco Congleton, we want every child who can’t be home for Christmas to still experience the joy, magic and excitement of the festive season.
"Our community never fails to show its generosity, and we’re proud to support families and the wonderful staff at our local hospital in this way.”
Lily Preston, Fundraising and Events Manager, added: “We’re so grateful for Tesco’s continued support of our charity and our local hospitals. As the festive season approaches, we’re reminded of the importance of coming together to support those who need it most.
"Your generosity helps us enhance staff wellbeing and improve patient experience, going above and beyond what standard NHS funding can provide.
"Whether you’re an individual, local business or school, there are so many ways to support your local NHS this Christmas – from making a one-off donation to taking part in our ‘Wear Something Festive’ appeal or partnering with us throughout the year.”
Donations collected will be delivered to the Children’s Qard in time for Christmas, helping to brighten hospital stays and spread joy to young patients and their families.
