Immunisation Update Course (Registered and Non-Registered Healthcare Practitioners)

Who should attend

Registered and Non-Registered Healthcare Practitioners who advise and /or administer immunisations to adults and children. All registered Practitioners who attend must have attended a Foundation Immunisation course
 

What will I learn

This is a half-day immunisation update course in line with recommendations from the National Training Standards from the UKHSA [2025] and Immunisation Knowledge and Skills Competence Assessment Tool (UKHSA)
 

Course Content:

  • Current issues in immunisation
  • Recent epidemiology of vaccine-preventable diseases
  • Any changes to the recommendations or national policy for vaccines
  • Update on vaccine administration
  • Any changes to legislation relevant to vaccination
  • Review of current practice and identification of areas for improvement
  • Review of support strategies
  • Opportunity to revisit and practice injection technique
  • Q&A session for commonly encountered problems in practice
